Reese’s Peanut Butter Cake

I’ve never made a homemade cake. I know I know. Craziness. I’ve been stalking I mean following Cakes by Courtney. Obsessed!! You all know I love to cook and bake but she made me want to whip out that butter faster than a southern woman could say “slap your momma good”!

Reese’s peanut butter cups are big in this house. When I saw Courtney’s recipe for peanut butter cake I knew I had to make it! I switched up the frosting/filling but otherwise follow her genius.

Okay I have to go stuff my face now before all the boys devour the cake.

I followed the recipe expect the filling. I used the frosting and mixed in crushed Reese’s peanut butter cups. I also used her chocolate shiny syrup recipe for the top which is located on her cookies n cream cake.

Sides note: when she says cake flour, she means cake flour. I thought girl flour is flour um nope, no it’s not. Getch ya some or it will taste more like a muffin. Still delicious but definitely dense.
